My first real blog entry 
But I have no pictures as I left my camera back at the house today 
So far i've mainly just chilled out.. I've needed it after the stress of getting ready over the past couple of weeks and what felt like a very long journey. I actually spent longer in Johannesburg airport than I do at work! And the overnight plane journey surrounded by NINE (Yes nine!) crying babies was not much fun. But it was definitely worth the pain
New Year's Eve was very different for me. Normally spent wandering around Douglas underdressed and freezing, we had a BBQ next to the pool and I drank way too much. It was a really nice change though, definitely has the edge on New Years at home.
On New Year's Day there is some religious ritual where loads of people go down to the beach and into the sea to "Wash away their sins". We went down for a look (Didn't join them) - There were hundreds of people! It made me think of the Peel New Year's Dip of 2010 fame.
I think I will find my mojo next week and start getting out and about and will have much more to write about.. Right now, relaxing is all I want to do
